The Lodge at the French village is situated at the head of a picturesque valley in the foothills of the Tararua Ranges in the Wairarapa . The Lodge provides peaceful accommodation among native New Zealand bush and is the base for Walk Wairarapa.

Kitchen has gas hob and oven, plus barbeque in covered courtyard and is well stocked.
CD player, no broadcast TV, no cell phone reception, landline in lodge.

The Rates:

Walkers Package : $325 per person, 3 days guided walks, fully catered. Maximum 10.
Deluxe : $120 per person, includes all meals, fully serviced, maximum 6.
Budget : $48 per person, BYO sleeping linen and towels.
$15 per child, under 15 years, (under 2 years free)
Economy: $68 per person, all linen supplied and pantry breakfast.
$20 per child under 15 years (under 2 free)
Minimum charge, $160 per night.
